Girl group Crayon Pop will be continuing as a four-member group.

On May 31, a source from Crayon Pop’s agency stated, “Crayon Pop will be promoting as a four-member group without Soyul. There are no plans to have a replacement member. After Soyul withdrew from the group, they continued to promote as four members.”

The source continued, saying, “We are discussing contract renewals with Ellin, Geummi, Choa, and Way after their contracts expired. Rather than focusing on Crayon Pop’s comeback, we are focusing on the members’ individual activities.”

Meanwhile, Crayon Pop made their debut with “Saturday Night” in 2012. In February 2017, former member Soyul got married to Moon Hee Jun and recently gave birth to a baby girl.

Brown Eyed Girls’ Gain has sent a strong message to haters who are spreading rumors about her online.

On May 31, she announced on her Instagram that her fans could expect something to happen in two hours. Two hours later, she uploaded a series of screenshots of vicious online comments suggesting that her recent hospitalization was to cover up a pregnancy.

After confirming that her recent hospitalization was due to pneumonia, Gain wrote captions on many of the screenshots, such as, “It was pneumonia, everyone. Wash your feet and go to bed,” and “If you’re that curious [about my illness] then come and find me.” In one post, she wrote that she did not intend to sue the commenters, but she was tired of dealing with the issue. In response to someone commenting that she was still active on Instagram despite being sick, she replied, “I was discharged from the hospital already.”

Finally, she posted, “And while we’re at it, why do all female celebrities have to hide that they’re going to the gynecologist? You don’t have to hide when you’re going to the internist or the surgeon. Pregnancy should be something to celebrate. However, I am not pregnant. All female celebrities can go to the hospital without any fears.”

EXO’s Kai and f(x)’s Krystal have reportedly parted ways after just over a year of dating.

A source who is close to both Kai and Krystal stated, “It is true that the two have broken up. They’ve been unable to meet often because of their busy schedules. I don’t know the exact reason for their breakup but I think they’ve both decided to focus on their careers.”

Meanwhile, news of the two SM Entertainment labelmates’ relationship took the K-pop world by surprise last year, especially after the two cooly acknowledged their romantic relationship, a rare move amongst idol group members.

During his special interview with CNN, Gong Yoo talked about the ups and downs of being a popular actor.

He described some of the downsides of popularity, saying, “Actors are exposed to the public a lot. People judge actors based on the way they live, and those images can be reflected in the characters they play. That’s why I try not to reveal my private life.”

“I sometimes don’t think I’m suited to be an actor. I’m fine in front of the camera but once I go out in public, I get really shy,” he explained.

He was also asked whether people respected his privacy. “They do respect it sometimes but I think it’s impossible to just pass by when you see me. I’m thankful when people do just pass by, but it’s hard for most people to do that,” he responded.

Gong Yoo then talked about the good side of fame, saying it was what allowed him to exist as an actor. “However, as people say, you win some and you lose some. I do want to separate my personal life from my life as an actor, but I know it’s hard for the public to accept that,” he added.

“One time I stepped into a restaurant in Australia, and Asian fans began surrounding me and pulling on my clothes. I knew they were glad to see me, and I think I should just bear with these kinds of things,” he expressed.

He then shared that he continued his acting career not for money and fame but for his fans. As for his future goals, he revealed that he wanted to try working with his favorite actors and directors to produce his own movie that could allow him to deliver his own message.

Singer Chae Yeon has responded to fans’ claims regarding her alleged lack of manners during EXO’s recent concert.

Fans who had attended the concert have been criticizing Chae Yeon for eating during the show and leaving with her group of friends before the concert had ended.

On May 28, she left a message on Instagram that said, “I wasn’t thinking straight. I’m sorry. I sang along to their songs and tried to support them. I do acknowledge my faults though. As for leaving early, we had all agreed to leave right after the first encore stage. It’s regretful that we’ve caused some trouble.”

Her post has since been deleted.

On May 29, T-ara members Eunjung, Hyomin, Jiyeon, and Qri held a surprise broadcast through V Live on the set of their album jacket photo shoot.

They announced that they will be returning in two weeks with a track called “My Name Is” (literal title).

Jiyeon revealed, “We will be releasing the song and holding a showcase on June 14. We will then perform our comeback stage on ‘M!Countdown’ on June 15.”

“This new album has a unique arrangement and format unlike any other. It feels different to us,” they shared.

T-ara’s upcoming title track “My Name Is” has been produced by Brave Brothers.

According to a statement released by U-KISS Eli’s management agency, the artist has decided to take firm legal action against netizens for the spreading of false information, public humiliation, and sexual harassment.

The malicious comments were not only directed at U-KISS’s Eli but also at his wife and his child as well, which is why the artist has decided to take definitive legal action against the ongoing discrimination and malignant rumors.

U-KISS’s Eli and his wife have been married for three years, after registering his marriage in secret back in 2014. He announced his marriage and his wife’s pregnancy in December of 2014. This couple will finally be holding their wedding ceremony this June and completed a wedding shoot recently.

On May 25, actor Kang Ha Neul took to Instagram to write a heartfelt message to his good friend Kim Woo Bin in light of recent news.

The actor said, “My heart hurts and I get worried when one of my family members even catches a cold… My friend is currently going through a difficult time because of a rare disease. I knew about his diagnosis in advance but, now that many others know, I am writing this post to request something [of the public]. They say that if you genuinely have a clear heart and good intentions, you can create a miracle. I ask that you encourage my friend and request that you say things with a warm heart and kind intentions.”

He continued, “We always said we would go get a drink together at some point but, because of our busy lives, I was unable to take care of my friend and for that I am very apologetic [to him]. My friend maintains his humor and wit, despite the unfortunate situation he has been handed. I hope that he is able to move forward without losing his smile.”

Kang Ha Neul ended his message by saying, “Woo Bin, I love you. Hang in there. Let’s continue to smile.”

Joo Sang Wook revealed what first made him think about marrying Cha Ye Ryun, who he previously starred alongside in the drama “Glamorous Temptation.”

The May 27 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s “Entertainment Weekly” reported on the couple’s wedding at their press conference. When asked about making the decision to get married, Joo Sang Wook said, “I think I started thinking about marriage when, in our year and a half of dating, she was cooking and also cleaning up in my kitchen. I thought that I could live happily for the rest of my life if I married someone like her.”

The couple also said that they are not planning on going on a honeymoon right away. When asked about starting a family, Joo Sang Wook said he’d like at least two children, although he added with a laugh, “I’ve thought about up to five at the most.”

Song Seung Heon shut down rumors that he has broken up with actress Liu Yi Fei.

On May 27, a source from his agency said, “The reports by Chinese reports that Song Seung Heon broke up with Liu Yi Fei are untrue. They are still happily dating.” They emphasized, “This isn’t the first time they were wrapped up in breakup rumors. In particular, the reports that the breakup was due to the Chinese ban on Korean cultural content is simply wrong.”

The statement was made after a Chinese media outlet reported on May 25 that the couple had broken up. They had reported that the two had become awkward with each other after the Korean cultural content ban and that Korean netizens were against him dating her. They had also said that Song Seung Heon ended the relationship to bring back the fans who left him.

Meanwhile, Song Seung Heon and Liu Yi Fei have been in a public relationship since 2015 after meeting on the set of the movie “Third Love.” They were swept up in breakup rumors multiple times in the past as well.

Kim Tae Hee and Rain are going to be parents!

On May 23, Kim Tae Hee’s agency Ruach Entertainment stated, “Kim Tae Hee is currently 15 weeks pregnant, so she has to be careful for the time being. However, rather than having the news be released as medical treatment, she believes that it is her duty to be the one to share the news to everyone who has cheered her on.”

Her agency continued, saying, “She will be focusing on prenatal education and plans to work hard as a wife and a mom.”

K-pop girl group SISTAR has confirmed that they will be disbanding after their new album release in May.

SISTAR’s agency, Starship Entertainment, stated, “After SISTAR releases their last album in May, they will end group activities. We are currently in discussions with the members on their individual contracts.”

According to industry insiders, Hyorin and Soyou are likely to continue to pursue solo singing careers, while Bora and Dasom will go into acting.

SISTAR debuted in June 2010, making this their seventh year as a group. They will release their new song, which is composed by Black Eyed Pilseung, on May 31.

Kim Woo Bin’s agency recently gave an update on the actor’s health.

On May 24, his agency Sidus HQ released an official statement, saying, “Kim Woo Bin recently noticed something abnormal about his body while he was in the midst of multiple schedules. When he went to the hospital to see what it was, he received a diagnosis for nasopharyngeal cancer.”

The agency continued, saying, “Thankfully, they said it’s not too late to receive treatment, so he has started radiation therapy and is taking medication. He will be focusing on treatment so that he can return with a healthier image. We are currently discussing his schedule due to his treatment. We ask for your support and encouragement.”

Moon Hee Jun has responded to his fans’ recent announcement that they would be boycotting him.

On May 24, the entertainer posted an apology on his agency’s official Facebook account.

“Hello, this is Moon Hee Jun.

“A lot of things have happened recently, so I am leaving this message with a heavy heart.

“I have never once thought of trying to avoid the things that have been happening to me. I spent a painful time thinking of ways I could show my sincerity regarding the recent issues.

After Gummy dropped her pre-release track called “The Quintessential Man” (literal title) on May 22, people have been wondering if her lyrics referred to a potential breakup with Jo Jung Suk.

The lyrics of “The Quintessential Man” take a jab at men who act pretentiously, thinking that women would be impressed by them. Furthermore, the Korean word for “quintessential” is “jung suk,“ which is the name of her current boyfriend Jo Jung Suk, thus leading to rumors that Gummy has ended her relationship with him.

In response to these rumors, Gummy’s representatives stated, “The lyrics of Gummy’s new song don’t have anything to do with Jo Jung Suk. The two are still in a good relationship. We hope there will be no more misunderstandings.”

It was then revealed that the track originally had a different title but eventually ended up with “The Quintessential Man” because the phrase had been mentioned in the rap lyrics.

“The Quintessential Man” comically expresses the difference between what men think and what women think represents the quintessential man.

Super Junior is getting geared up for their comeback this year by starting a group Instagram account!

On May 22, SM Entertainment announced the launch of Super Junior’s new Instagram account, which already features both group and solo shots of the guys.

Their first uploaded post was a group photo from their recent meetup (which included even members Eunhyuk, Donghae, and Choi Siwon, who were all on leave from the army) with the message in the hashtags “Super Junior full group, wait just a bit more.”

Super Junior is planning to make a long-awaited comeback in the second half of this year after Eunhyuk, Donghae, and Choi Siwon are discharged. Youngest members Kyuhyun and Ryeowook will not be taking part in this comeback because they will be fulfilling their mandatory military service (with Kyuhyun set to enlist very soon and Ryeowook already in the army).

It’s been over a year since “Descendants of the Sun” ended, but Song Joong Ki is still looking out for the staff.

On May 20, Song Joong Ki attended the wedding of a makeup artist he got to know while working on the popular drama. Even after the drama ended, the two kept in contact and became friends.

The actor wore a blue striped shirt and black pants, and quietly sat at the back of the wedding venue, cheering the new bride on. Song Joong Ki is said to have watched over the entire ceremony with a smile on his face without caring whether people recognized him or not.

AOA’s Choa is reportedly dating Lee Suk Jin, the young CEO of Najin Industry.

News reports first broke the news on May 17, with several claiming that the two met after Super Junior’s Kim Heechul introduced them. Reports also state that the couple have been dating since last year, although without confirmation yet.

As of now, her agency FNC Entertainment has simply stated, “Right now, we are currently contacting Choa about the dating reports. We will reveal our statement after we confirm the news.”

Lee Suk Jin is in his early 30s, and inherited the CEO position of Najin Industry back in April 2011. Najin Industry is an electronics distributor that is known for its distribution complexes in Yongsan Electronics Market, a center of the electronics industry in Korea. It also is an eWorld management company, with Lee Suk Jin known to be an avid fan of eSports.

Meanwhile, Choa also recently spoke out about her unexpected hiatus, and apologized for making fans worry.

AOA’s Choa has returned to reassure fans after worries emerged of her prolonged absence. This follows a statement released by FNC Entertainment on the issue.

On May 16, Choa took to her personal Instagram account to explain and said, “Hello, this is Choa! I was a little surprised by all the attention I got for the first long break I’ve had since my debut, but I’m sincerely grateful that you were thinking of me even when I’m not there.”

She continued to write, “I’ve been swept up in a controversy about my absence, but the break I took was something I had planned and discussed with the head of our company since before we filmed the music video for ‘Excuse Me’ in December 2016. I suggested letting you all know before I took the break because I knew you would be waiting for me, but I was advised against putting out an official statement for a personal break. Our management team was of the opinion that I should refrain from using social media while on my break, so I complied though I wasn’t fully on board with the idea. I should have tried harder to persuade them for the sake of our waiting fans. I think I was too complacent. I want to sincerely apologize to all those who waited and showed their support for me.”

Choa added, “It may be because I’m releasing this statement so late, but there are a lot of unkind speculations and rumors going around. All I’m doing is being on a break that I had planned in advance, so I hope that there are no more bad rumors that come out of this. To those posting these baseless speculations! Those really hurt the people they’re about. Please delete them.”

She concluded with, “As I conclude this post, I would like to once again express my gratitude to those who have shown their support for me. I hope to recharge and work hard to be even better than before. Thank you.”

Singer-turned-actress Sung Yuri recently got married to her boyfriend!

On May 16, a source from her agency stated, “Sung Yuri tied the knot with pro golfer Ahn Sung Hyun on May 15. After sincerely dating for four years, the two have promised to be life long partners with their trust as a foundation for marriage.”

The source continued, saying, “The couple wanted to hold a calm and quiet wedding where they could focus on each other, and so in accordance with their wishes, we ask for your understanding about not releasing the news of their marriage in advance.”

Park Yoochun was recently caught up in a scandal regarding his military service.

Currently, the singer-turned-actor is completing his mandatory military service as a public servant. While working as a public service worker, Park Yoochun is able to live at home while working in an office rather than staying at a camp for the entirety of service. In order to be assigned to public service, a medical reason must be provided. Park Yoochun previously received the decision of fulfilling his military service as a public servant due to his asthma.

On May 15, entertainment media outlet Dispatch released pictures of Park Yoochun enjoying a date with his fiancée. In one of the pictures, he is seen hugging his fiancée with a cigarette in his hand. In response, many netizens are criticizing his military enlistment as a public servant and questioning the fact that he was granted public service for his asthma.

Meanwhile, Park Yoochun has confirmed his marriage with the granddaughter of the founder of Namyang Dairy Products.

god’s Park Joon Hyung announced last week that his wife had given birth to a healthy baby girl, and he’s shared another photo of her!

On May 16, the singer took to his personal Instagram account to share a set of photos that showed his daughter,  swaddled and looking pretty adorable. Park Joon Hyung captioned his photos with, “It’s been six days since our princess was born. Every day, her puffiness is going away. Her eyes are getting bigger and her double eyelids are getting more prominent. Her umbilical cord fell off this morning. I’m falling more and more in love with her.”

In his hashtags, he also added, “I’m really falling more and more in love with her every day.  Every day, she’s getting bigger, her face is changing, and she’s looking more and more feminine. She has double eyelids and dimples, and I’m so proud of her. Her double eyelid lines were faint when she had her eyes closed on the first day, but once the puffiness starting going away, she had partial creases. Now, you can see them when she has her eyes open and they’re getting more prominent by the day. She won’t be asking me to let her get her eyes and dimples done in the future, so she’s saved me some money. But I hope she doesn’t get like 12 creases in her eyelids like me. I’m so glad her umbilical cord fell out this morning. Before it did, I had to be so careful that I didn’t touch it while changing her diapers, and I was clenching my butt out of nerves, and now I don’t have to. I’m so glad and I’m proud of her. I was going to take a picture of her umbilical cord and post it but I didn’t because it’s a little gross and it kind of looks like dried squid. It didn’t look nice so I’m not going to post it. Actress Yoo In Na talked about what her trip to the United States with IU was like.

On the recent broadcast of the new radio program “Lee Soo Ji’s Song Plaza” on May 15, the DJ’s best friend Yoo In Na came as very the first guest of the show.

The DJ asked, “Have you gone on vacation after filming (Goblin)?” and Yoo In Na replied, “I went to the States and Jeju Island with IU.”

Then the star explained how they always try to have a certain concept while on their vacation, but it never works out because they are too busy playing around.

On May 14, tvN’s new program “Our Life School” aired for the first time.

Appearing on the show as a guest, Jeon Hye Bin met with the “homeroom teacher,” Son Mi Na, to discuss the topic of dealing with criticism. She admitted, “When I’m criticized because of an untimely situation, I don’t know how best to get over it. I don’t know how I’m supposed to move forward in life.”

Jeon Hye Bin continued, “[When I am criticized] I feel apologetic to the other people in my life, especially my friends and family. The words that get passed on to them are hurtful. I feel sad whenever I hear about it.”

“Our Life School” is a new kind of outdoor variety show in which people choose a topic of life related to their anxieties, learn from an invited teacher on that topic, and then apply what they learned on the spot. So far, Kim Yong Man, Jung Joon Ha, Ahn Jung Hwan, Jeon Hye Bin, Lee Hong Ki, and Kwak Dong Yeon are scheduled to appear on the show to share their life concerns and hopefully experience growth in the process.

FTISLAND’s Lee Hong Ki confessed that he now realizes how precious his fans are.

On the May 14 broadcast of tvN’s “The Life Academy,” Lee Hong Ki and Jeon Hye Bin had a conversation with each other.

Lee Hong Ki revealed that he just did a live broadcast on his social media for 30 minutes before she came and said, “Fans really seem to like it when I do that.”

When asked, “Don’t you have a lot of fans [following you around] when you go outside?” Lee Hong Ki replied, “No. It’s past the times now when I had fans follow me around. When I was young, I didn’t know that things like that happened because I was popular. I thought it was something that just obviously happened. But after some time, I realized, ‘Ah, that’s what that was.'”

He also said, “Now that I make music that’s not mainstream and since I focus on live performances instead of broadcasts, I can feel myself being forgotten. I couldn’t go outside before, but when my popularity dropped, I realized that all of that was actually very precious. I was lost for a little bit, then I realized that I still needed to make music.”

On May 15, Kim Rae Won’s agency, HB Entertainment, released an official statement regarding the actor’s recent copyright infringement controversy.

On May 14, the actor posted a number of photos taken during a screening of the popular blockbuster movie “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” in a movie theatre onto his personal Instagram account. Fans began to criticize the actor for illegally taking photos of a film in a theatre, which violates copyright law and could result in a hefty fine.

Shortly after the backlash, Kim Rae Won replaced the post with another post of an official “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” still.

HB Entertainment has since released a statement regarding the controversy and said, “We sincerely apologize for the controversy Kim Rae Won caused by posting to his social media account photos taken during the screening of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy 2.’ Kim Rae Won recognizes that his actions, regardless of the reasoning behind them, were wrong and is taking time to genuinely reflect. He will be more careful moving forward.”

On the morning of May 12, actor Lee Min Ho started his mandatory military service and walked to the Gangnam office in Seoul, where he will be working as a public service worker.

According to regulations of the military alternative social workers, Lee Min Ho will be starting his service first before entering a training camp. He will then be admitted into a training camp and train for four weeks after he receives a schedule for his training from the Military Manpower Administration. He is set to enter a training camp sometime within this year.

In 2006, due to a car accident, the actor broke bones in his thighs and his ankle. Then in 2011, the actor was involved in another car accident, and ended up receiving a decision to serve his military service as a public service worker.

The lovely Park Bo Young has shared a little bit about what kind of man she’s looking for in her life!

In an interview with magazine Women’s Sense that was revealed in their May issue, the actress talked about her recent stint in JTBC’s “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,” and of course, her co-star Park Hyung Sik.

She reflected on a particular scene where she felt embarrassed because of how public the filming was, and amusingly reaffirmed while laughing, “There’s no way I would date Park Hyung Sik.”

Park Bo Young then offered more information in what she wants in a significant other.

“I like men who straightforwardly express their emotions. Up until now, there hasn’t been anyone who’s directly said, ‘I think I like you.’ For some reason, I think it’s cool when a guy just swoops in[to your life],” she expressed.

She also offered more details about her ideal type, and explained that she like positive people with strong mindsets. “It’s a [bonus] if he has a lot of cute antics, since I have none myself,” the actress added.

Former Secret member Han Sun Hwa described how she felt while going into the acting industry and also opened up about Secret.

During a recent interview, Han Sun Hwa talked about her passion for acting. “Before becoming a member of Secret, I auditioned for both acting and singing. I liked expressing myself in front of other people. It was really fun every time I had to act in our music videos. I don’t think there’s a big difference between singing and acting when it comes to expressing my emotions,” she shared.

The idol-turned-actress mentioned how her mother had told her how lucky she was for getting the chance to act when there were so many people out there who also wanted to go into acting. “I’m really thankful but I also feel sorry. Because I knew how precious the opportunity was, I felt responsible and worked really hard,” she explained while tearing up.

When asked whether she wanted to erase her idol image, she responded that she didn’t want to. “I gained a lot of things while promoting as a singer. I’m rather glad my idol image lowered people’s expectations of me,” she expressed. Because of the low expectations, she was able to make her way into the acting industry without getting greedy.

She then added that Secret was still precious to her. “Even though [the members and I] are in different agencies now, I still hope there will be a chance in the future where I’ll be able to promote with them again. However, these are only my personal thoughts. I do think it would be possible to promote with the members again if things fall into place. I’m definitely not closed off to the idea,” she revealed.

Actor Ji Chang Wook has revealed when he will be enlisting for his mandatory military service.

On the May 10 broadcast of SBS Power FM’s “Cultwo Show,” co-stars of the drama “Suspicious Partner” Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun appeared as guests.

During the broadcast, Kim Tae Kyun said, “Many are waiting for another musical from you. Do you have any plans?”

At this, Ji Chang Wook said, “I’ll have to go to the army first.” He said, “I’ll be enlisting after this drama [Suspicious Partner], and I think I’ll continue performing after that.”

Meanwhile, “Suspicious Partner” is a romance drama that tells the story of a prosecutor named No Ji Wook (Ji Chang Wook) and a law student named Eun Bong Hee (Nam Ji Hyun).

After reports about Sulli’s new relationship came to light earlier, SM Entertainment has released an official statement on the matter.

A representative from SM Entertainment said, “The two apparently became interested in each other recently. She is being careful as [Kim Min Joon] is a non-celebrity. We ask that everyone be respectful [about their relationship].”

Earlier today, it was reported that Sulli is in a relationship with non-celebrity brand director Kim Min Joon.

The reports of her new relationship come a few months after the news about her breakup with Dynamic Duo’s Choiza, whom she dated for two years.

T-ara will have their last performance as six at their upcoming concert in Taipei, Taiwan.

Their agency MBK Entertainment previously revealed that members Boram and Soyeon will not be joining their upcoming comeback, as their contracts will expire on May 15. T-ara will return with the four remaining members Qri, Eunjung, Hyomin, and Jiyeon.

After thinking it through, Boram and Soyeon have decided to perform with the group for the last time at their concert in Taiwan. This concert is special in that it is their first concert in Taiwan since their debut nine years ago. It will be held from May 12 to May 14 for three days.

It is expected that Boram and Soyeon will open up about their feelings and thoughts about their departure during the concert, as it will be their last time appearing in public as members of T-ara.

Singer Jo Kwon has given a warning to those posting harmful comments.

On May 6, the artist wrote on his Instagram, “Hello, this is Jo Kwon. I am trying my best to live the way I usually do without letting the harsh comments and gossip about myself get in the way. But I am writing this public post because I am so psychologically distressed and I want to get my point across.”

Jo Kwon further wrote, “I know that malicious comments are bad, and I do my part of monitoring myself [to better my flaws]. To act against these people, Jo Kwon stated, “I am going to screencap every malicious comment sent to me and deliver them to my agency’s legal team. Let’s live life without hurting people’s feelings. Please love more.”

Lastly, the singer warned, “The user that always start off by writing ‘I was a fan of Jo Kwon’ is not a fan. A real fan would start off with love and support me with love. FNC Entertainment, girl group AOA’s agency, has responded to fans’ worries that AOA’s Choa may be leaving the group.
