Moon Geun Young recently gave fans an update on the status of her health through social media.

On June 28, the actress posted a picture of a cute cup on her personal Instagram account along with a caption that said, “I really like this cup. Honestly, I’m not the type to get attached to an object. I don’t really know why. But despite all that, this cup has still stayed next to me. I like witches, so I wanted to become one once. I might even be dreaming of becoming one now.”

She continued, saying, “Anyways – maybe…even with natural mistakes, failures, and changes (of course, I can’t naturally accept them). Because we have to live on, because we are alive, it was really hard for me to share this process with anyone. But now that it has passed, I see that anyone can be by my side when I’m in a place of development, they can even watch over me when I make bad choices, and can cheer me on even when I have my stupid moments. I recently became grateful once again for that kind of life. It suddenly occurred to me. As I was cleaning this cup.”

She also added the hashtags, “#I’m fine #Don’t worry #I’m sorry, but more than that, I’m thankful. #Day649.”

Meanwhile, Moon Geun Young previously received four surgical procedures after being diagnosed with a medical condition called Acute Compartment Syndrome.

Former SISTAR member Dasom relayed some honest thoughts about SISTAR’s disbandment.

During a press conference for her drama “Sister Is Alive” on June 28, Dasom said, “As for SISTAR’s disbandment, the members all shared our opinions since the beginning of this year. So there was lots of time for us to organize our thoughts.”

“With that said, seven years is a long time and it would be a lie to say that it wasn’t hard,” she added. “I had no time to be sad about SISTAR’s disbandment and had to focus on acting. However, this project was very important to me and a huge opportunity for me, so I tried so that my focus didn’t stray.”

She explained, “We disbanded so that we could each focus on our own paths. Nothing bad happened, and it was just a choice we made for our individual paths.”

Dasom was then asked about the recent news of her former groupmate Bora dating BIGSTAR’s Feeldog. She said simply, “I knew that the two of them are close. That’s all I’m going to say.”

On May 22, actor Yoo Ah In underwent his fifth medical examination for his mandatory military service. The final verdict regarding the actor’s military service has been delayed a number of times due to various past injuries as well as a bone tumor.

The actor underwent his first medical evaluation back in December of 2015 and received a final verdict today on June 27. The actor was deemed unfit for service as an active duty soldier primarily because of his bone tumor, despite the fact that the actor has frequently expressed his desire to serve as an active duty soldier. While the actor had been receiving treatment in order to maintain a tolerable amount of pain in his daily life, results from his re-examination deemed him unsuitable for life as an active duty soldier.

Furthermore, Yoo Ah In first injured his right shoulder muscle while filming the 2013 movie “Tough as Iron” and his condition worsened while filming the 2014 movie “Veteran.”

The director of “Veteran” said, “The final scene was one in which Yoo Ah In had to engage in hand-to-hand combat with Hwang Jung Min. I was very grateful to Yoo Ah In because, although his hands were shaking the whole time [because of his shoulder injury], he showed fighting spirit until the very end and finished filming without a stand-in.”

He continued, “Even if others say disrespectful and rude things about [Yoo Ah In’s] shoulder injury, I, for one, could never do that.”

In addition to his shoulder injury and bone tumor, it was reported that Yoo Ah In also severely fractured his left collarbone last year. His collarbone injury did not come to light until recently because Yoo Ah In received painkilling medication and participated in a hand-printing event at a film festival the day after the accident that caused the injury.

His agency, United Artist Agency (UAA), released an official statement on June 27 and said, “Due to pre-existing medical conditions, actor Yoo Ah In has been deemed unfit for military service by the Military Manpower Administration and received a final verdict that exempts him from mandatory military service.”

The statement continued, “As an agency, we will actively do our best to help our actor receive medical treatment and carefully monitor and maintain his health.”

On June 27, he wrote a message on his Instagram. The full translation is as follows:

“I returned safely from Switzerland. This was my third time visiting the country and since I was a promotional ambassador for Switzerland, I felt even more familiar and excited, even before the filming began. After we arrived, we finished the filming well with all the staff and even Switzerland’s Chief of Tourism Commissions. However, we were all flustered and surprised at the unforeseen events that occurred before we left for the airport.

“I hope never to be in this situation again, but if I am, I think I will be able to deal with the situation better after this. I will explain this in more detail for tourists. No one was hurt, and everyone ate and slept well, and came back safely. I think on the July broadcast of ‘One Night Food Trip,’ you’ll be able to see the beautiful sights of Switzerland and the food as well. I’m also excited to see it.

“I’m sorry for making you worry, and I heard that it became big news in Switzerland as well. I think it’s most important to always be safe, no matter where you are. Thank you to SHINee’s Minho, who filled in for the broadcast, and sorry and thank you to the ‘Delivery’ staff. I will work even harder.”

Earlier this month, Ga In was questioned by the police about her posts. Jang Nara recently took to Instagram to address the recent rumors of her alleged marriage to Park Bo Gum.

The pair appeared together in the KBS drama “I Remember You” back in 2015, and dating rumors first spread about them in early 2016 (and were denied).

Last week, rumors about the actors’ relationship once again surfaced, this time claiming that they were spotted together on Cheongdam Wedding Street to prepare for their alleged wedding. Their agencies both soon after denied the rumors.

Sadly, it appears that actress Jang Nara has been the victim of malicious comments that have followed the rumors. A look at her most recent Instagram posts shows many comments (in not only Korean but also English and other languages) that tell her not to marry Park Bo Gum, and make attacks on her based on her age and appearance.

On June 24, Jang Nara posted the following to Instagram:

“I didn’t say anything before because I didn’t think it was right to talk about something that didn’t require an explanation, but I haven’t seen him or met up with him. I haven’t even met him on the street while walking past. I don’t know where Cheongdam Wedding Street is, and I spend most of my time at home or in my neighborhood.

“I think that the fact that I am still not married is completely my own private matter, regardless of my age. I have worked hard because I want to be a good actor when I’m on set and because I want to be a good junior and senior actor to my colleagues. However, I have become a senior actor that does harm because of something I don’t even know about… Don’t do that. Why do you have to talk about my age and appearance because of something that is completely impossible?

“I am trying to live a healthy life while aging naturally.

“I’m doing well. I’ll delete this shortly.”

Jang Nara did then delete her post later on.

After Choa announced that she would be leaving AOA on social media, there have been many speculations as to why she may be doing so.
In her post, Choa explained that she was leaving AOA because she was suffering from depression and insomnia. However, on June 23, SportsSeoul released photos of Choa with Lee Seok Jin, the CEO of Najin Corporation. The pictures had been taken on their way back from a personal trip to Japan they took between May 3 to May 9.  They were also accompanied by Choa’s two sisters.

While Choa denied that they were dating last month, the two look quite close in the photos, making many wonder whether there was another reason why Choa may want to leave the group.

After these speculations surfaced, Choa took to her Instagram once again to deny these rumors. Here is the full translation of her post:
“I knew that with more attention there would be more possible rumors, but I’m not pregnant, I didn’t have an abortion, and I’m not leaving the team to get married.
“There are many people who work while they’re dating. If I wanted to date, I could have just said so and worked at the same time, so I don’t know why my leaving the group is being connected with dating rumors.

“I don’t have many friends, so it’s true that he has been a lot of help to me recently. Since dating isn’t a crime, if our relationship goes forward in the future, I will say so honestly and date. Leaving the team was a difficult decision I made after a lot of deliberation, so I hope that other issues don’t get connected with it.
“They had been telling me that they would reveal those photos so I had been under a lot of pressure mentally, but it actually feels freeing now.
“To explain the article that was posted today, I would like to upload my own photo. The article implied that I had been on a trip with just him, but it was the first time I went on a trip abroad with my sisters.

“My younger sister, who is in her first year of middle school, likes to draw and likes animation, so we chose Japan, hoping that it would be helpful for her in the future. Because I am the only person who can speak even a bit of Japanese, and since it was my family’s first time visiting Japan, I had to take care of everything. I had never been to Japan outside of my schedules, so it was difficult making reservations in Japanese and looking for places to visit. I asked my friend, who I had been close with since three years ago, for help. On the days when we had the same schedules, he helped guide us; and on the way back, it was late and we had a lot of luggage, so he gave us a ride back. It seems like the two photos were taken then.

“A while ago, the first time it was reported that we were dating, the reporter asked me about the circumstances at which the pictures were taken, so I explained exactly as above. So I can’t understand how this article was written with a headline such as ‘They were in love before the dating rumors’ as if it was just the two of us on the trip.
“Also, I voiced my thoughts on leaving the team to my agency a long time ago. Two years ago, they told me to take a hiatus and to think hard about it, so I tried that. In the end, I got my CEO’s consent yesterday and wrote that post on my social media. Before I did, I showed the contents to the company and even deleted the parts that they didn’t want me to post.

“I already relayed my thoughts regarding leaving the team, and I hope the other members are not affected negatively by this controversy. I am sorry for worrying so many people with bad news this morning.”

AOA’s Choa has decided that she will officially leave the group.

After several speculations that Choa may be thinking of leaving AOA, on June 22, she made a post on her Instagram confirming that she will be leaving the band.

Here is the full translation of her post:

“Hello, this is Choa.

“I was very grateful and sorry that so many people took interest in my sudden hiatus. This is a bit late, but I want to tell you the reason why I had to rest and the decision that I came to after lots of deliberation.

“Since AOA wasn’t a team that immediately received a lot of love when we debuted, I had always been grateful for the love we got and I think preciously of it.

“Although I was the oldest on the team, I’m still very young and I wanted to cry a lot of times while working. However, I know that the reason you like me is because of my bright image. Although I was crying in my heart, I had to look happy. This happened repeatedly, and the more I forced myself, I found myself becoming sicker and sicker.

“To treat my insomnia and depression, I tried taking medication and started decreasing my work two years ago. However, because the problem didn’t stem from being tired, I ended up stopping all of my activities.

“I tried hard to get back to work while thinking of those who were waiting for me, but I felt that if the negative attention of my hiatus continued, this would be even more detrimental to the team members.

“After speaking with our company, I am leaving the team called AOA today, and I’m going to be cheering on my fellow members.

“Over the past eight years while I prepared to become a celebrity and worked as one, I learned a lot of things. I think that even this difficult moment is a process for me to grow. I am 28 years old this year, and going forward, I will be reflecting on my chaotic self. For the remainder of my 20s, I would like to fill them with different experiences that are befitting of my age.

“As of now, I am not thinking about doing any work outside of my individual work that was already planned. Someday, when I no longer feel scared and feel that I can show a better side of me, and if there are still people who cheer me on, I would like to return. I am a lacking person, but to those who keep cheering me on and worry for me, I would like to give my sincere thanks. To the members who I have been with for so long, and to those who helped me overcome what I lack so that I can be loved, and to those who loved me and AOA, thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.”

Pop singer Harisu and rapper Micky Jung have decided to part ways after 10 years of marriage.

Micky Jung took to Instagram to speak about the divorce, saying that, contrary to the news reports, the divorce is not due to a failed business.

In an official statement, Harisu said, “The first news report talked about my husband’s business, but that’s not why [we’re divorcing], so please stop making ridiculous speculations. I’m not sure where people heard something like that, but during our married life, we cared for and loved each other. That’s the kind of couple we were. We’re still close, and we still support each other. From the beginning, our love had no base in money or expectations, which is why we are able to continue supporting each other and remain on good terms, so please refrain from making any hurtful comments!”

The couple, who were wed back in May 2007, made headlines, as theirs was the first marriage of a Korean transgender celebrity. Leading up to the big day, the two starred in their own Mnet reality television series, giving viewers an intimate look at their daily life.

Following yesterday’s news of his improved condition, BIGBANG’s T.O.P and his family have made the decision to have him moved to a different hospital.

YG Entertainment released an official announcement on June 9 and said, “We are deeply apologetic to the patients who have been inconvenienced for the past couple of days,” referencing the large influx of reporters who had gathered at the Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital.

They continued to state, “The hospital’s medical team made the recommendation that T.O.P should be moved from the intensive care unit to the general ward. However, his guardian requested that he be moved to a different facility that has single patient rooms to make visiting him a smoother process. We will not be releasing the name of the new hospital as we wish to avoid the situation we faced at the first hospital. We ask for your understanding.”

T.O.P was discharged four days after he was first admitted. He was escorted out of the hospital in a wheelchair, and was heard saying, “I’m sorry” as he left.

We truly hope that T.O.P is able to rest well and recover fully.

Actress Yoon Eun Hye found herself as the subject of dating rumors in China recently.

On June 7, Chinese entertainment news site Sina reportedly shared an image the star posted of herself on social media. In the image, the actress is seen sitting next to an unidentified man assumed to be her boyfriend, whose outline could be seen in the reflection of a window behind them.

A representative for the actress denied the rumors to TV Report, calling the claim “absurd and baseless.”

T.O.P will be dismissed from his duty as a conscripted policeman today or tomorrow.

A source from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency stated that a notice of prosecution for illegal marijuana use has been sent to T.O.P today and will most likely arrive tomorrow. As soon as he receives the notice, he will be removed from his position and sent home. The time he spent as a conscripted policeman until now will still count toward his mandatory service, but the time he spends at home on standby will not.

Whether or not T.O.P will have to reenlist will depend on the length of his sentence. If it exceeds 18 months, he will be forcibly discharged from the army and required to reenlist. A sentence shorter than 18 months means that he will continue the remainder of his mandatory service after serving his sentence. His first trial will take place on June 29 at 11:30 a.m. KST.

Earlier today, T.O.P’s mother and his platoon leader revealed that T.O.P’s condition has gotten better.

At approximately 1 p.m. KST, T.O.P’s mother visited her son in his hospital room. Forty-five minutes later, she left the room and was met by reporters asking about T.O.P’s condition. She replied, “He has gotten better.” In response to another question asking if he made eye contact with her and recognized her, she gave the brief answer, “Yes.”

T.O.P’s platoon leader, who had also visited the rapper, stated, “He seems to be able to communicate, and he also recognized me as his platoon leader.”

T.O.P is currently being treated at the Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital after losing consciousness due to an overdose of prescribed tranquilizers. Today at 9 a.m. KST, the hospital had stated that he was still in a state of lethargy, but he seems to be recovering, according to his mother’s and platoon leader’s more recent statements.

Update:

In a recent statement to news outlets, a hospital source said, “T.O.P has regained consciousness, and has stabilized. I have been told that he will be able to leave the intensive care unit by about mid-day tomorrow.” According to the source, doctors have advised that T.O.P transfer to the mental health department for counseling. Whether or not T.O.P will remain at the current hospital for further treatment, stated the source, is something to be decided by T.O.P and his legal guardians.

Actress Lee Yoo Young recently sat down for an interview after the completion of her OCN drama “Tunnel.”

When asked about her boyfriend and fellow actor Kim Joo Hyuk’s reaction to the hit drama, she said, “He watched it and said he liked it.”

She added, “He gives me a lot of good advice. But when I was filming the drama, we were both really busy so there wasn’t a lot of time to get help. I think [our acting] is a part of our lives we have to figure out on our own.”

Lee Yoo Young and Kim Joo Hyuk, who have a 17-year age gap, confirmed their relationship late last year. When asked about the difficulties of dating publicly, she said, “People are more aware of these things than before. I think the times are changing a little. We wanted to be careful because more people would be looking at us, but we thought it would be better to be confident instead of trying to hide.”

Lee Yoo Young is also close friends with actress Kim Go Eun and they are both enrolled at Korea National University of Arts. “Go Eun is my senior when it comes to acting,” Lee Yoo Young said. “She debuted first and started working first, so I get advice from her. She tells me that you have to be on alert all the time for dramas. There is no room to breathe. We sometimes talk about how we want to play each other’s characters.”

Actor Park Hae Jin opened up about his dating style and personality during a recent interview.

When asked which part of himself he wanted to hide the most, he responded, “My personality is like an ahjumma’s (middle-aged woman). I nag a lot, especially to my older sister. She says she’ll listen to me but I’m never satisfied.”

He was then asked about his success rate when it came to asking out girls. “100%. Because I’m not the type to take initiative and directly ask someone out on a date, I hover around her until everything works out. My success rate is 100% because I’m quite persistent,” he shared.

The actor then revealed that he had a tsundere personality, acting cold and uncaring on the outside but warm and loving on the inside. He admitted that he didn’t have any aegyo and rated himself as a boyfriend with a score of 80.

He also expressed that he wanted to get married before he turned 40. “However, I don’t want to have children right away. I’m currently living with my sister’s family so I look after my niece during my free time. Raising children is tough. It gets crazy when they run around the house,” he said while laughing.
