On August 21, actor Lee Jong Suk partook in an interview to discuss his new film “V.I.P.”

He talked about his recent Instagram post where he explained how his fan meeting might be delayed and hinted at frustrations with his agency YG Entertainment.

Lee Jong Suk said, “When doing social media, fans are in zeroth place (before first place). There’s a lot of people who say social media is unnecessary and frivolous, so I don’t write comments often because I know there’ll be an article if I write. The goal of using social media is ‘Telling fans I did today’!”

The actor continued, “As for the fan meeting, it’s a non-verbal promise I made with fans. I’ve done one every year around the same time and date. Since it could have gotten canceled or delayed, I explained a bit more. I didn’t imagine that it would be interpreted as an attack.”

He continued, “YG is a good company. It’s a good company, but I unintentionally got into a sticky situation. Since there were company opinions about the fan meeting I thought ‘it could get delayed and it could get pushed back,’ so I wanted to let [fans] know but I think I got the wording wrong.

Lee Jong Suk laughed and commented, “Since there is fan meeting work done by external parties, other teams are uncomfortable around me. It’s hard to making a living.”

Meanwhile, “V.I.P” is a film about a VIP guest from North Korea who is suspected of being a serial killer. It opens in theatres on August 23.

Actress Song Sun Mi’s husband has been murdered.

On August 21 at 11:50 a.m. KST, the actress’s husband was found bleeding in the Seocho district and passed away while he was being transferred to Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital. The police are currently in the middle of investigating and have arrested a young man.

One news outlet reported that the person who was arrested is a 28-year-old man who was arguing with the actress’s late husband. According to the report, her late husband had previously agreed to give the man a lot of money and valuables on the condition of receiving help regarding the pending case of his grandfather’s inheritance.

However, when her late husband only gave him 10 million won (approximately $8,800), the young man found the late husband in a law firm office and stabbed him with a knife. According to the report, the young man had a lot of information on Song Sun Mi’s late husband as well as his other family members.

Meanwhile, another report stated that the late husband was disputing over the inheritance with his cousin, and that the young man who stabbed him was the cousin’s acquaintance.

Song Sun Mi stated, “It’s true that my husband is dead. At the moment, I’ve lost track of things. I will be making a clear statement later.”

Actress Song Sun Mi met her late husband, who was three years older than her, in 2006. After meeting through mutual acquaintances, they dated for one year and then got married. The couple later gave birth to a daughter in April 2015.

BIGBANG’s Taeyang spoke about how much BIGBANG means to him and also opened up about how he tried to be there for T.O.P throughout his recent controversy.

Taeyang held a press conference for his third solo album “White Night” on August 16 and when asked about whether he’s been keeping in touch with T.O.P, he said, “I think the best I can do for him is to be by his side. There are things that he has to process and realize on his own, so instead of giving him advice, I think it’s better for me as a fellow member and friend to call him more than I usually do and visit him as much as I can.”

He continued to show affection for T.O.P as he added, “I try to be by his side as much as I can. I try to listen to his thoughts and talk to him about them. But when we meet, we talk about little things more than we do about serious things.”

Taeyang’s love for his fellow BIGBANG members was evident as he stated, “We’ve been together since we were young, and even now, we care about each other and we’re each other’s friends and family. Of course my music is influenced by all of the things I’ve done as a member of BIGBANG. BIGBANG is my beginning, my roots. That can’t be ignored.”

He continued to add, “My music and my work as BIGBANG is so important to me. My work as a solo artist is also important to me. There are many reasons why people release solo albums, but for me, my main goal is for this new album to have a positive impact on my own music and on BIGBANG as a group. Seeing G-Dragon’s recent album receiving a lot of love from people was a source of motivation for me. I believe that our individual activities have a positive impact on each other.”

Taeyang also spoke about his relationship with Min Hyo Rin during his press conference and how she influences his music.
