JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu) have been appointed the ambassadors for the Korean Trade Organization as the goodwill ambassadors. Last year, JYJ held released a worldwide album called "The Beginning," and also went on a worldwide tour that included countries like China, Thailand, the U.S., and more. Their recognition as singers through their activities and concern of world issues have led them to be appointed ambassadors for the Korean Trade Commissions.
On April 18th, JYJ attended the "30th Anniversary of the World-OKTA" event at the Sheraton Walker Hill Hotel in Seoul as ambassadors and performed at the event to celebrate.
Attendees at the events included the Knowledge Economy Minister Choi Joongkyung, governors from each regions, and 1000 other attendees. An award of merit was also awarded to those who have contributed to Korea's economy development and social development to national business leaders in relevant oversea organizations.
An official from the World-OKTA said, "Their global and cultural skills have portrayed the image of JYJ to be the leaders of the Hallyu wave. They have demonstrated their skills to reach global culture and this image matches the World-OKTA goal. Therefore, they were appointed as our ambassadors."
JYJ said, "We're delighted to have been chosen as ambassadors for the World-OKTA to promote South Korea's contribution in the world economy. JYJ and World-OKTA will continue to promote our nation's culture in all parts of the world."
