The May 8th episode of Mnet‘s ‘Wide Entertainment News‘ belatedly revealed some never-before-stories about today’s top idol stars.
Viewers were most taken aback by the fact that Big Bang’s G-Dragon who is currently under YG Entertainment was a trainee under SM Entertainment for 5 years. G-Dragon joined SM Entertainment at the young age of 8 years old and built his dream of becoming a singer, but in the end debuted with YG.
Additionally, the episode also revealed that actor Song Joong Ki who is known for his flower-boy good looks almost debuted with an idol group. He was discovered on the streets for his charming appearance, and is currently signed under Sidus HQ. Upon further research, the staff members found that the company that first discovered Song Joong Ki was a label that trained artists. They determined that Song Joong Ki had no talent when it came to singing and dancing, and he left the company to pursue acting.
