On January 26, local media reported that Yoochun was investigated by the Namhae District Police for not receiving proper safety inspection on a yacht registered under his name. However the police later released a statement that said, “We cannot further elaborate on Yoochun’s investigation. But it was more of a questioning process as a reference for this case.”
JYJ’s agency, however, only went as far to state, “We’re looking into the matter now. We have nothing to say at this point.”
Under the current law, all yacht owners in Korea are required to receive annual inspection on their yacht. Failure to comply with the law could result in a penalty fee as high as two million won ($1,600 USD).
