Girls’ Generation recently shot a pictorial for W Korea’s August issue to commemorate the group’s upcoming 10-year anniversary.

In the interview, titled “A Decade to Remember,” each of the Girls’ Generation members were interviewed about how they’ve changed since their debut, what ‘Girls’ Generation’ means to them, and the highs and lows of the past 10 years.

YoonA said, “We all grew and matured through building up experience. We’ve grown comfortable with things that used to make us nervous or awkward. Personality-wise, I think Seohyun has changed the most. She used to be introverted but now she is more energetic and approaches people first. That’s partly due to her own efforts and partly because of the members. Tiffany has improved a lot in Korean and chooses her words well in interviews.”

Sunny dispensed some advice to her juniors in the industry, saying, “I think it’s a good idea to try all the things you want to try, as long as it’s appropriate for your age and you can take responsibility. That’s how you get to know what you’re good at it and what you really want to do. Of course, you have to shoulder both success and failure yourself so it’s not easy to do.”

Tiffany said, “‘Girls’ Generation’ is a place where I learn only good things. It’s an honor that only comes once in a lifetime. It’s destiny. I love Girls’ Generation so much that if I was born again I’d want to be a member of this group again. While preparing for this comeback, we looked back at the videos from our debut. They’re my members, but I’m still impressed how we worked so constantly, trying acting or variety when we weren’t putting out music.”

Yuri said, “[We’ve maintained a good relationship for 10 years] by always being careful. We’re more careful now in some ways than we were 10 years ago. The members and Girls’ Generation are precious to me so we try to hold ourselves above things. When negative things happen, I think that’s the easiest way to be easygoing and get along. We’ve come to a time when we can act like a family and cherish each other.”

Sooyoung said, “What we gained in the past 10 years are memories and experience. If we’ve lost something, it’s time. It might be a contradiction to say we’ve gained memories and lost time, but I think it’s true. However, we’ve gained more than we lost so I don’t regret anything.”

Hyoyeon shared what she most likes to hear from the public, saying, “I’m always hungry for praise. I like all kinds of praise. In the past, I really liked hearing that I was pretty or I’d gotten prettier. Now I like hearing that I have a lot of appeal. It means that I have found my own color.”

Taeyeon talked about the group’s new album, planned for this August. “It was hard to bring out the key point of a short part,” she said. “Maybe it was a result of having promoted solo for so long. I thought a lot about how I could match better with the other members while recording.”

Seohyun talked about her clean-cut image, saying, “I do want to let myself go a little. I’ve always set rules for myself like, ‘I have to go home by this time. I won’t date anyone.’ But I think it was a good thing to live like that so I have no regrets.”

Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany and Gray are rumored to be dating yet again, about 18 months after the two first hit headlines as a rumored couple in January 2016.

At the time, both sides said that they were simply colleagues, not involved romantically.

July 7, 2017, various industry sources stated that Tiffany and Gray are, in fact, dating. News1 quoted a source, saying, “Gray and Tiffany dating is something that all rappers know already. They’ve completely fallen for each other, and they’re a beautiful couple.”

According to the report, Tiffany and Gray have been dating since around the end of 2015. They met when Tiffany visited AOMG to meet with producer Cha Cha Malone regarding her solo album.

AOMG and SM Entertainment have both denied the rumors, saying that, as before, Tiffany and Gray are simply close colleagues.

Previously, it was reported that Seohyun was considering a role in a new MBC weekend drama called “Thief, Thief” (working title).

“Thief, Thief” is about a band of thieves that target individuals in the elite class who use their power to secretly twist Korean society to their benefit.

On March 15, it was confirmed that Seohyun had accepted the lead female role as a character named Kang So Ju. Kang So Ju is a passionate police detective who possesses an overwhelmingly strong sense of justice. The character is one who does not worry about her own safety in the face of a criminal and is determined to protect those who cannot protect themselves.

On March 13, Girls’ Generation’s Sunny appeared on the MBC FM radio show “Kangta’s Starry Night” in the new segment “Starry Night Restaurant.”

As befitting the segment, Sunny shared that she recently played a barista in a musical in Japan. “I was a barista that falls in love with a sommelier,” she said. “But I think wine suits me better than coffee.”

Kangta then joked, “I think soju suits you better than wine.”

Sunny said that her latest food obsession was fried chicken. “There’s one restaurant I like a lot. I like their fried chicken. The fried part is thick so I like it. I have the palate of a little kid. I found it through searching online and I go with my older sister and her husband.”

She added that the Girls’ Generation members often share suggestions about good restaurants that they find through their group chat. “Sooyoung is the one that makes the most suggestions,” Sunny said. “She likes to let people know about things and share what she has.”

In a recent photo shoot and interview with Harpers Bazaar Korea, Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun was completely honest about her past and current self, and future plans.

First, she talked about her dating style, saying, “If I like someone, I would tell him that I like him up front. I couldn’t really open myself up to others and I didn’t fully experience love in the past because I was afraid of getting hurt. But I realized that only left me with regret when time passed.”

“I would think to myself, ‘Why couldn’t I say anything. If I had expressed myself back then I wouldn’t be this hurt right now,'” Seohyun said. “After experiencing these things quite a few times, my personality began to change regarding love.”

The singer further explained, “I try to be as honest as I can now. Maybe that’s why I’m more objective when a romantic relationship ends these days. The end is the end. I have no regrets or thoughts about it. I probably got tired of expressing myself so much,” and showed how strong-hearted she has become.

Seohyun mentioned Girls’ Generation members while on the subject of personal relationships, saying, “I’m more careful about building friendships than romantic relationships, but I am confident about it. I’ve learned a lot from the members in the five years that I lived with them. Their certain habits or ways of thinking were a lot different from what I’ve done for 20 years, so I did have quarrels with them from time to time. But as time passed, we learned to understand each other. I would be lying if I said living with the members was always easy, but I believe it was a necessary experience for myself.”

Seohyun had a very promising spirit as she continued the interview. She said, “One of my biggest worries is my future. Since I’ve lived the past 10 years solely thinking about work, I think it’s time for me to start a new chapter in my life.”

She revealed that she is currently discovering different hobbies that she might want to continue after 10 years, aside from her activites as a singer, actor, and musical actor. “It’s now 10 years since my debut and I’ve already released my solo album, so I think it’s okay to look somewhere else now,” Seohyun explained.

It sure makes fans curious of what path she’ll be on later in life.

Taeyeon’s “I” has surpassed the 100 million mark on Youtube!

The singer posted a photo on her Instagram earlier today (February 14) to thank fans for the achievement.

The caption reads: “Youtube 100 million views??? #OurIisthebest #i.” It is possible that “Our I” is a pun on “our children (meaning fans in this context),” since the pronunciation for “I” is the same as the Korean word for children.
